John joined D.A. Davidson in 2016, when he opened the firm’s downtown Vancouver, WA office. With more than 30 years of experience as an investment professional, he supports individuals, multi-generational families, and nonprofit organizations through a personalized, education-focused approach. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the College for Financial Planning.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Japanese Studies from Bucknell University in 1992, along with a Certificate of Completion from Waseda University in Tokyo in 1991. This foundation has continued to shape his global perspective and thoughtful approach to financial planning.

John has lived in the Vancouver area since 2003 with his wife, Kristy, and their two children, Charlie and Piper. He has spent more than two decades serving on boards and committees for local and national nonprofit organizations and supporting community events through corporate sponsorships. He is also a proud graduate of Leadership Clark County, Class of 2007.

Arron Dieter is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with D.A. Davidson, where he has been serving clients since 2018. With more than 28 years of experience in the financial industry, he previously worked with Charles Schwab, West Coast Investment Services, and Umpqua Investments. Arron earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Arizona State University and holds the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation.
 
Dedicated to building long-term relationships, Arron focuses on creating personalized strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals. He actively volunteers at a food pantry in Ridgefield, and values giving back to his community with several local non-profits. Arron lives in Ridgefield, Washington, with his wife, Michelle, and they are proud parents of three grown sons. Outside of work, he enjoys any time he can spend with his family with hobbies including reading, fishing, games, and kayaking on the local waterways.
